Eye monster available here; have your own shirt made into a wee dress here; incredibly, undeniably cute shoes can be found here; and the lion decal is prowling around here.
When I was in elementary school, my best friend’s family was involved in a program to help the endangered desert tortise population. They housed these rare creatures, mostly letting them roam freely in their house and yard. So whenever I was over there, I was walking down the halls next to these slow and fascinating beings. I didn’t think much of it at the time, but now I feel lucky for having the experience.
Ooooh – really love the photography by Andrea Galvani. (Via designboom.)
You know what’s funny? When you see something bounce that you don’t think should bounce. In yoga today, I saw someone drop a bolster (basically a big pillow), and it bounced! The bolsters are dense – not floppy pillows – but they were by no means in my bounce category.

At the nursery today, I saw a mother and daughter walking up and down the aisles collecting flowers and foliage that had fallen from plants onto the ground. The little girl was joyously carrying the boquet they were making with their findings. It was a lovely reminder of how much goodness there is everywhere if you just look for it.
All I can tell you about this photo is that it was taken by Jody Boyman and that I found it here.

My yoga teacher sang the most beautiful chant at the end of class today. I kept thinking, “please don’t stop, please don’t stop.” When I’m a mother, I will sing to my children.
Take a look at that dresser, will you? Pretty awesome, yes? I don’t know who created it. Do you? (Via Ffffound!)
P and I are playing in a softball league this summer, and tonight was our first game. It was fun! There are some wonderful peeps on our team that I’m excited to spend more time with. After the game, we ended up talking about our worst fears (mine is runnning over someone with a car), and my friend Carrie said, “I’m pretty claustraphobic. Well, especially around psychic people.” Apparently, she feels that they are seriously invading her space. I thought it was funny and wonderful.
