Power lines above one of the dog parks here. We are lucky to live within a few miles of two huge dog parks. These are really great placess where the dogs can run wild, and you can walk for miles through interesting terrain. (Not tons of miles – but still miles.) They make me grateful to live in Minneapolis.
Have you heard of tilt-shift photography? It’s a technique that makes pictures of real scenes look like pictures of fake scenes. The top photo is by B Tal; I’m not sure who took the second one. I found both on Smashing Magazine site. I’d like to experiment with this technique. In addition to a bunch of other examples, there are also some tilt-shift tutorials on the Smashing site.
The top photo looks like where I was yesterday – Ft. Lauderdale – and the bottom one looks like where I am today – back home in Minneapolis. P and I had a great visit with his parents down in Florida. It was a vacation that really felt like a vacation.

I have an old friend coming into town tomorrow. We have plans to walk dogs and do yoga. I think it will be great.
